Session #6 - Wednesday Apr 1 @ 6:30pm

Holistically Healthy: A Whole Body Approach to Health
Jackelyn Hurtado, Manual Osteopath, Craniosacral Therapist, Reiki Practitioner and DoTerra Wellness Advocate

Session Description: Jackelyn has loved the sciences and helping people for as long as she can remember. She knew that her ideal career would be in a field that reflected both her passions. With this goal in mind, this led her to pursue a career as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner. The full-time program was rigorous and demanding and was the perfect combination of theoretical and practical training. Jackelyn finished as a top student academically as well as practically and she was a favourite practitioner amongst the patients that visited the student clinic of the school. Prior to graduating, she completed an internship of 1000 hours which helped her gain additional insight into the uniqueness of each individual and the circumstances around acute and especially chronic pain. Jackelyn was also called to work as a teacher’s assistant at her school after graduating. In the two and a half years of her practice, as her career began to grow, she has taken a number of courses to further her training. Including but not limited to:

  • TMJD Advanced Training Course in Functional Neuromuscular Activation Therapy
  • Craniosacral Therapy Level 1 and 2
  • Cupping & Guasha
  • Low-Intensity Laser Therapy
  • Treating the Obstetrical Patient
  • Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex (P-DTR)
  • Reiki Practitioner
  • Pediatric Osteopathy

In her free time Jackelyn loves reading, listening to uplifting and scientific podcasts and being with her fur babies.
